De Vere Village Plans To Expand To 44 Sites

Newly appointed chief executive Robert Cook, has announced plans for De Vere Village to build up to 18 new hotels, as well as increase awareness of the mid-market brand. Sites the company have put in planning applications for are Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Miltion Keynes, Bracknell, Crawley and Portsmouth.

The current hotels are currently predominately located in the North of England and therefore the brand aims to extend southwards. The new sites will also now be located on main roads close to city centres, instead of in and around business parks and close to major motorway junctions of which the current hotels are based.

The new properties, expected to cost about £17m each will now be a mixture of owned and leasehold businesses, with the Lloyds Banking Group supporting the roll-out. Where as all the existing Village hotels are all fully owned by De Vere.
