£13m Kent care home to open this summer

The developer of luxury care homes and retirement living projects, Hamberley Care Homes is to create 100 jobs at a new £13m state-of-the-art care home.

Nesbit House will be opening in Orpington, Kent this summer, and is located just off the Orpington Bypass in Badger’s Mount, Sevenoaks.

The 60-bed home will offer residents a cinema, cafe, spa, sensory garden and hair salon.

The care home will bring residential, nursing and dementia care but with a difference. The company will employ ‘homemakers’ who will be carers, house-keepers and companions all in one.

They will provide care and support for residents, including administering medicine under the guidance of a clinical team, but also take care of the general day to day housework.

The ‘homemakers’ will also offer companionship and take an interest in the lives of our residents, supporting them with their choice of lifestyle and wellbeing.
