Big Mamma has been named the second best artisanal pizza chain in the world in yesterday’s 50 Top Pizza 2022 Awards.
The London-based Italian restaurant group secured the sliver spot in the 50 Top World Artisan Pizza Chains 2022 category.
50 Top Pizzas is a list curated by Italian culinary and pizza experts, with selection decided by the leavening produces, use of fresh quality products and service of the restaurant.
Big Mamma, which is behind the Insta-famous dining spots, Gloria, Ave Mario and Circolo Popolare - and soon to be launching Jacuzzi - has won the award in light of the traditional preparation methods and the first-grade prodotti used for its pizzas.
The group sources ingredients directly from over 150 Italian producers including Salvatore Corso’s Neapolitan Mozzarella di Bufala DOP for the most authentic and high quality cheese pulls.
Big Mamma’s pizzaioli are chefs who are specialised in making pizzas and have been trained to make real, Italian-style pizzas.
