Red Dog Saloon has announced the launch of a barbecue sandwich concept, which is due to open in Lakeside Shopping Centre, Essex, in early 2016.
The American themed barbecue operator – which has other full service sites in Hoxton Square, Clapham North and Soho – opens its 87-cover sandwich site and offer eat in or takeaway hickory-smoked snacks.
Fresh barbecue sandwiches on the menu include the 12-hour smoked brisket and 16-hour smoked pulled pork, which are pulled fresh from the smoker and served on a steamed bun with Kansas City sauce, slaw and pickles.
Red Dog Saloon’s version of the classic ‘Philly Cheesesteak’ has been renamed the ‘Texas Cheesesteak’, which is filled with brisket, fried peppers, onions and topped with melted provolone cheese, served on a signature steamed bun.
The ‘Colt 45’ comprises brisket topped with Kansas City sauce, provolone and fried onion rings.
‘Bar-b-q’ is also available naked, with plates of meat available from £8.75 and include a side and pickles.
Red Dog Saloon’s three signature sauces are available to order, and prices for sandwiches start at £4.50 and there is also a range of food for £7-9.
