De Vere wins management contract of Chicheley Hall

De Vere Venues has been awarded with the management contract at Chicheley Hall in Buckinghamshire, the historic home to the Royal Society in Newport Pagnell.

The venue, which is also a renowned conference centre with nine meeting or training rooms and a 48-bedroom hotel, was built in the 1700’s and was purchased by the famous fellowship of leading scientists in 2007. It now stands as a grade-1 listed building and offers corporate, academic and leisure events with space for up to 100 delegates. The former coach house has been restored to include two professional lecture theatres in the adjacent Wolfson Centre, plus the latest AV technology and free Wi-Fi throughout.

As part of the wider De Vere Group, De Vere Venues plans to take on 12 more properties over the course of the next three years including a number with accommodation.

Led by Robert Cook, De Vere Village Urban Resorts is currently rapidly expanding its portfolio and this week confirmed that the brand was ready to open its first properties in Scotland.
