Morrisons appoints former Asda executive as trading director for dairy and eggs

Morrisons has appointed former Asda executive Kelly-Ann McQueen as its new trading director for dairy and eggs, effective immediately.

She brings extensive experience to the position, having spent 14 years at Asda overseeing roles across fresh, grocery, and non-edible categories.

In her most recent role, McQueen served as senior buying manager for Asda’s core chilled division, a position she held for the past two years.

In a statement Morrisons said: “Kelly-Ann has a proven track record in delivering customer-centric strategies and building high-performing teams that achieve outstanding commercial results. Known for her collaborative leadership style and passion for doing the right thing for customers, Kelly-Ann is a fantastic addition to the team. We can’t wait to see all that she’ll achieve here at Morrisons.”
McQueen shared the news in a LinkedIn post, saying: “After 14 fantastic years at Asda, I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Morrisons as Trading Director for Dairy & Eggs. I’m incredibly grateful for the experiences, learning and friendships I’ve gained at Asda — it’s been a brilliant journey. Now I’m looking forward to this next chapter at Morrisons, working with a great team and fantastic suppliers to deliver quality, value and innovation for our customers every day.”

The appointment follows last month’s news that Morrisons named Peter Batt as operations director for its convenience arm, Morrisons Daily.
