Independent restaurant chain, Le Bistrot Pierre has appointed former Tragus CEO John Derkach as its new chairman.
Derkach has held senior roles at Procter & Gamble, and Whitbread – where he was CEO for brands including Pizza Hut, Beefeater and Costa Coffee. Most recently, he was CEO for Tragus Group, which operates almost 300 restaurants nationwide. He is currently the chairman for EAT, the QSR chain.
The restaurant chain was established in Nottingham by school friends Robert Beacham and John Whitehead in 1994.
Le Bistrot Pierre's 15th site is due to open in Birmingham this summer, with a 16th outlet set for in Weston-super-Mare.
