New Technip offices fuelled by nutritious BaxterStorey meals

Technip FMC Umbilicals is helping to fuel its team at new offices in Newcastle upon Tyne with the help of hospitality specialist, BaxterStorey.

The brand new facility boasts impressive views across the River Tyne and houses a specially designed restaurant and café where BaxterStorey serve a variety of freshly-prepared nutritious meals and snacks made from locally-sourced produce.

Newcastle suppliers Mullens offer freshly baked produce, Freemans Butchers provide locally sourced meats and Delifresh deliver an array of local seasonal fruits and vegetables which help create the diverse daily menus onsite.

In addition, BaxterStorey provide hospitality services including freshly-prepared lunch dishes as well as barista-served beverages from its in-house brand, Down to Earth Coffee.

Jeremy Wood, Regional Managing Director at BaxterStorey, said, “It’s a privilege to have been appointed as the hospitality supplier for this impressive new facility. Our chef development teams worked closely with Technip FMC to build a bespoke catering package and introduced them to the wellbeing benefits a tailored service can bring to the workplace.

'We believe our innovative approach to foodservice, local sourcing and using seasonal ingredients will make a real difference to their staff.”

BaxterStorey’s highly-skilled and trained chefs have created a menu using recipes from its popular Better Breakfast and Healthy Me initiatives. Better Breakfast aims to make the morning meal as much of a focal point as lunch by delivering innovative and on-trend healthy meal options to set employees up for the day, while still delivering on flavour and convenience.

Healthy Me is a concept that allows staff to substitute unhealthy snacks with wholesome nutritionally-balanced alternatives such as naturally-sweet beetroot brownies – which are almost as popular as the chocolate ones!

Street food-style pop-ups will also be introduced, including the Kansas-inspired BBQ meats of Rib Shack, gourmet hotdogs from Hound Dog and the customisable flavour-packed burritos from Mexican Kitchen – proving healthy eating doesn’t have to mean compromising on taste.

Technip FMC manufactures umbilicals in steel and thermoplastic, providing connections between subsea equipment and platforms or floating production systems, as well as enabling control from the surface.
