The Cuckoo Inn, an attractive 18th century pub in the picturesque Wiltshire hamlet of Hamptworth, has been sold through Christie & Co, to experienced operators, Aaron Dyson and Zoe Gilbert.

Situated on the edge of the New Forest National Park between the villages of Landford and Redlynch, the charming Grade II-listed property features an attractive 40-cover open plan bar and restaurant, as well as a spacious 80-cover trade garden with a separate bar, which is popular with visitors in the warmer months.

Owned by the Hamptworth Estate and operated under management since 2012, The Cuckoo Inn has built up a strong reputation, renowned for its real ales. Hamptworth Estate said, “We delighted to have secured new tenants, Aaron and Zoe, who we are sure will make the pub a great success and we wish them well as they embark on their new venture.”

Dyson and Gilbert commented, “We are thrilled to be taking on The Cuckoo Inn. We have some exciting plans over the coming months and look forward to welcoming not only the local community but also visitors from further afield.”

Richard Wood, Senior Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Winchester office, whp handled the sale, said, “Following a successful marketing campaign, which attracted multiple offers and viewings, we were able to hand pick the right tenants for the pub to ensure its future for the Estate and its locals. I wish Aaron and Zoe all the best as I believe the pub will be a great success under their management.”
