Central Cambridge restaurant seeks new leaseholder

The Senate, a bistro located in central Cambridge, is available via Fleurets, with a guide price of £225k for the leasehold.

The venue, which has been owned and operated by the same family for over 40 years, is currently fully fitted with 45 covers inside, plus a further 34 covers outside on the terrace.

The restaurant overlooks Senate House, a classical building designed by James Gibbs and built between 1722 and 1730, which hosts Cambridge University’s graduation ceremonies.

Great St Mary’s Church is directly opposite the restaurant, which plays host to many music and entertainment events.

Tom Cormie of Fleurets is marketing the premises and commented, “This is an extremely unique opportunity as rarely do Cambridge city centre units become available along or adjoining King’s Parade. Any prospective operator will undoubtedly benefit from both tourist and student trade.”
