£450k Gloucester forecourt seeks new ownership

Ross Road Garage, a well-positioned forecourt located on the outskirts of Huntley, near Gloucester, has been brought to market via Christie & Co, with a guide price of £450k.

Based on a significant plot, Ross Road Garage benefits from excellent levels of passing trade due to its position on the busy A40, a main road with high traffic flow. The forecourt is ideally situated close to a mix of commercial and residential buildings and the surrounding villages also provide the business with a good catchment area.

The site, owned and operated by Stewart Brown since May 2018, includes a number of petrol filling pumps, a well-maintained convenience store and large workshop. It has come to market as Brown is looking to sell and relocate his MOT business.

Brown commented, “The site has provided us with a steady income since May 2018 but we are now ready to sell and relocate. The forecourt would benefit from a fresh approach and I am confident more income can be generated by the right new owner.”

The forecourt presents an excellent opportunity to acquire a well sized site with great development potential and a strong retail business, with scope to increase trade. There is the opportunity to introduce a variety of product ranges and promotions, hot food options, and forecourt services to help increase turnover and gross profit margins.

Jamie Williams, Senior Business Agent in Christie & Co’s Retail team is handling the sale and said, “Ross Road Garage is an exciting opportunity to acquire a well-located site with huge potential for development. There are increasingly few sites left which offer the opportunity to expand and redevelop in a good location and with so many options available it is an exciting project for someone to take on.”
