There are also vegan options, like San Filippo - tomato sauce, mozzarella, peppers, courgettes, aubergines & parmesan.

Beyond pizza there are dishes such as Free range rare breed North Yorkshire pork meatballs, mixed with artisanal smoked mozzarella campana & parmesan, and the vegan Mediterranean Salad - wild rocket, kalamata black olives, artichokes, cucumber, red onion, & chopped vine tomatoes with lemon dressing.

To finish, diners can enjoy a selection of artisanal gelatos, which are all 100% vegan, and Cannolo Siciliano, made with sweetened sheep ricotta, topped with chocolate drops, crushed pistachio, crisp pastry crumbs & chopped candied cherry.

Santa Maria posted on Instagram: 'After hurdles created by a mix of problems caused by Brexit, Covid and Suez Canal, we have finally managed to get some pizza out of our oven.'

Santa Maria Pizzeria launched in 2010 and will now see its fifth site joining those in Ealing Chelsea, Fitzrovia, and one that is inside a pub, Duke of London, in Brentford.
