Creams Café announces new Chief Operating Officer

“Oliver Rodbard, COO, Creams Cafe”
Creams Cafe has appointed Oliver Rodbard as Chief Operating Officer as the company embarks on the next stages of its national and international expansion.

The multi-faceted role will have a strong focus on franchise engagement and growth, alongside collaboration with the executive team to develop, refine and execute the overall business strategy as Creams continues to expand.

Rodbard brings over 16 years of experience gleaned in the food and hospitality industry within franchise models and joins Creams Cafe from Soul Foods Group, a global franchisee for the KFC, Starbucks, Burger King and Taco Bell brands, where he was the Chief Operating Officer.

Previous experience includes 12 years with the world’s largest restaurant company, YUM! Brands, working primarily on Pizza Hut where he moved through the ranks starting as Area and Regional Operations Manager and progressing to Head of Restaurant Excellence at Pizza Hut Delivery, then Head of Pizza Hut Express Europe before being appointed Director, Customer and Capability Canada where he was responsible for operations, HR and restaurant technology for 450 franchised restaurants.

Creams Cafe CEO, Everett Fieldgate, comments: “We’re delighted to have appointed a COO with the perfect background for us. Oliver has global QSR and casual dining experience, in addition to invaluable franchise know how that perfectly translates to Creams Cafe and our wider mission to expand our presence throughout the UK, and internationally. As we push forward on our trajectory of growth, I’m excited to have Oliver join me at the helm for what promises to be a very exciting few years for the brand!”

Oliver Rodbard adds: “I’m excited to join Creams Cafe and take on a new challenge as the brand continues its expansion to fulfil its ambition to be the world’s largest dessert cafe brand. The sector is experiencing remarkable growth, driven by changing consumer preferences, and a desire for unique and indulgent experiences, so it’s the right time for Creams to be looking at what comes next. As someone who is passionate about growing brands through customer experiences, I’m excited to return to the franchise sector, especially with such a highly talented Leadership Team.”

In the last three years, Creams has strengthened its senior team to support its rapid growth plans, with several new appointments including Everett Fieldgate as CEO. Across the UK, Creams has successfully opened over 100 stores, with the next national focus set to be opening further sites in the North of England. Creams also recently embarked on a partnership with Tesco Café in a franchise agreement to open co-branded cafes nationwide – a first for both brands.
