Shake Shack to launch first restaurant at a UK train station

This summer, the burger brand Shake Shack will debut its first restaurant within a UK train station.

At London St Pancras International, the restaurant will feature Shake Shack's core menu items, such as breakfast burgers, crinkle-cut fries, and ShackMeister Ale, along with offerings exclusive to the station site.

The opening will mark the 17th UK location for the US chain since its debut in Covent Garden in 2013.

Shake Shack originated as a hot dog cart in New York, operated by Randy Garutti, who served as the director of operations for Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group.

The first kiosk site of Shake Shack debuted in New York in 2004, and since then, it has expanded to operate approximately 400 restaurants across the United States and worldwide.

While Shake Shack's UK restaurants are primarily situated in London, it has also expanded to locations such as Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex, Gatwick Airport in Sussex, Oxford, and Cardiff.
