Anna Darnell has been promoted to the role of general manager at The Grove in Hertfordshire.
Previously serving as resort director, Anna Darnell will now lead strategy, operations, and revenue management across the 300-acre estate. Her responsibilities will span multiple departments, including front of house, security, housekeeping, and golf.
Darnell began her career at The Grove in 2005 as a corporate golf coordinator and has since held several key positions, including director of golf and resort leisure director, overseeing the spa, activities, and leisure revenue streams.
Darnell will be supported in her new role by a senior leadership team comprising HR director Danielle Michaels, financial controller Andy Watson, culinary director Maarten Geschwindt, and marketing director Lucy Chase-Gardener. The entire team will report to Bernard Murphy, group managing director at Ralph Trustees.
The Grove, once the residence of the Earls of Clarendon, now offers 214 guest rooms, the luxurious Sequoia spa, a championship golf course, a kitchen garden, and a selection of restaurants.
