Chicago Town wins top frozen food award at Product of the Year 2022

The UK’s leading frozen pizza brand from Dr Oetker, Chicago Town has scooped a top honour at the 2022 Product of the Year awards – UK’s largest consumer survey of product innovation.

The much-loved brand’s Tiger Crust pizza took the spoils in the hotly contested Frozen Food category.

The Tiger Crust range is thin and crispy with a crust that tastes just like tiger bread, smothered in Chicago Town’s signature sauce, and loaded with tasty toppings.
The range includes tempting family favourite toppings including Cheesy Ham & Bacon, Cheese Medley, and Double Pepperoni pizzas.

Chicago Town’s win tops off a successful period for the brand, which is now worth £134.6m , maintaining its lead in the frozen pizza category. The Tiger Crust range alone, which also launched a PMP last year, saw remarkable growth during 2021, up nearly 23%2 year on year.

Product of the Year is the UK’s largest consumer survey of product innovation, with over 10,000 shoppers voting each year to crown the winning products in each category with its famous red seal of approval.

Currently celebrating its 17th year of innovation in the UK, the awards are experienced in championing the best new products on the market each year.
