The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan has come out in support of the British Beer and Pub Association, which have been calling for more help for pubs from Government.

Khan stated, “The impact of the coronavirus is going to cause real damage to our economy. The Government’s advice to avoid pubs is clear, and while this is essential, it must provide more support to keep these businesses afloat.

“The traditional London pub has been at the very heart of our communities for hundreds of years, but without more financial support their future is at threat.

'I urge the Government to listen to the calls of the British Beer and Pub Association and go much further in ensuring that the businesses and staff are given the support they need at this difficult time.”
