Hyperama's new 'one stop shop' delivered wholesaler, Tiger Foodservice, which launches in September, has merged three regional depots to create one national hub as part of a drive to streamline operations.
Regional distribution centres previously located in Derby, West Bromwich and Peterborough are now operating from under one roof at the company's 100,000 sq ft warehouse and headquarters in Nottingham.
The Nottingham hub, on the city's Lenton Road industrial estate, has invested in ambient storage, freezers and chillers to accommodate increased demand for more than 3,000 lines. including fresh fruit, vegetables, fresh meat and an own-brand range.
Director Steve Davison said: 'One central location means better efficiencies both in terms of stock provision and order processing, as well as improved distribution and service levels for all our customers.
'Consumer expectations of out of home dining remain high and caterers need to meet those demands in order to maximise long-term gains.
'We expect it to be exceptionally busy over the next few weeks as people celebrate the festive period and beyond, free from the restrictions that we experienced last year, so this more streamlined operation couldn't have come at a better time.'
Tiger Foodservice is headed up by CEO Marcus Singh, who is also and Hyperama's Managing Director. It supplies a complete range of fresh, frozen, chilled and ambient products to customers within 100 miles of its Nottingham home.
It supplies: Restaurants, Pubs, Hotels, Health Care, Education, Travel & Leisure, and Business.
