Street food operator KERB will launch a new American sports bar in London’s Spitalfields Market this August.
Kerb Social Club marks KERB’s first-ever wet-led concept, arriving approximately 13 years after the brand began as a pop-up lunch market.
The new bar will feature a variety of entertainment, including Mario Kart marathons, chess finals, karaoke showdowns, and Super Sunday screenings. Guests can also enjoy dishes from three of KERB’s signature street food traders: Only Jerkin’ fried chicken, Oh My Dog hot dogs, and Cutie Pies Detroit-style pizza.
The venue features a main clubroom and terrace overlooking Spitalfields Market, along with five private rooms equipped with 100-inch TV screens, karaoke booths, gaming consoles, pool tables, and darts.
Abi Watson, general manager of Kerb Social Club, said: “Kerb Social Club is what happens when you take the spirit of a proper British local, mix it with the casual chaos and fun of an American sports bar, and give it an inclusive, modern Kerb twist. This isn’t about gimmicks – it’s a reminder that community hangouts really matter. And for us, opening our first Social Club in a legendary market like Spitalfields makes it even more special. It reflects our heritage, but pushes things forward.”
KERB is currently in a phase of expansion, having opened the food hall and live music venue Corner Corner in London’s Canada Water in April, followed by the launch of Kerb Berlin in May.
At an Impact Report dinner held earlier this month, the Compass-backed food business also announced plans to establish a physical hub to support its social enterprise initiative, Kerb+.
