Freak Scene and The Evolv Collection are collaborating on an exclusive pop-up residency at 100 Wardour Street, bringing bold pan-Asian flavours to Soho from July through November.
The Evolv x Freak Scene partnership marks the first major strategic collaboration under CEO Martin Williams, reflecting his vision to modernise the company’s brand portfolio and attract a wider audience.
Since assuming the role, Williams has spearheaded several innovative projects, including the launch of ‘Pont Plage’—a pop-up beach along the Thames— the opening of Bluebird at South Place Hotel, and expanding the brand’s presence at major events such as Polo in the Park and the British Grand Prix. He has also introduced the Bluebird Club, two exclusive private members’ clubs in the City and Chelsea, designed for the Evolv Collection’s most dedicated clientele.
Martin Williams, CEO of Evolv Collection, said: “I’ve been a fan of Scott’s restaurants and food since his Kurobuta days. His creativity, edge, and attention to flavour have always set him apart. We’re proud to be hosting Freak Scene at 100 Wardour Street as the only Asian concept in our group- it’s a partnership that makes fantastic sense and promises a great future”.
Renowned for his rebellious take on pan-Asian cuisine, Scott Hallsworth first rose to prominence leading the kitchens at Nobu London and Nobu Melbourne. He later launched the critically acclaimed Kurobuta, which expanded to three locations in Chelsea, Knightsbridge, and Marble Arch. Hallsworth’s style is bold and expressive, rooted in serious culinary expertise, and uniquely blends the laid-back attitude of Australian irreverence with the vibrant energy of Japanese izakaya culture.
Scott Hallsworth, Founder of Freak Scene, said: “This is possibly the most exciting news I’ve been able to share since founding Freak Scene all those years ago. Not only are we heading back to our Soho roots, but we get to team up with the brilliant Evolv Collection at their iconic 100 Wardour Street. I can barely wait!”
The Freak Scene x 100 Wardour Street pop-up launches on 22nd July and will run through to the end of November.
