CG Restaurants to expand Dirty Martini brand

CG Restaurants & Bars is kick-starting its expansion plans after securing a third unit for its Dirty Martini bar concept which will now be the focus of its growth strategy. The company plan to have a portfolio of 12 sites within the next three years.

The third site is located in Bishopsgate Exchange in the City in the previous site occupied by Novus Leisure for its Balls Brothers city bar format. The 300-seater site is to open in mid-September and will be the largest Dirty Martini site operating as a flagship for a ‘more innovative’ offering from the group.

The main focus of the brand will remain same- providing fresh food and a high quality of service- but there will now additionally be more product innovation and more flavour combinations.

CG Restaraurant, who also operates the Fire & Stone, Tutton’s and Bitter Sweet brands, say the new venues will ideally be based in London, with the original two located in Covent Garden and Hanover Square.

Chief Executive Scott Matthews has said “I would hope to have another one secured within the next month or two. Next year, we want to get one ready for around March April time, so we’d get that settled before this Christmas.”
