CG Restaurants reports strong December sales & new 2014 openings


CG Restaurants & Bars, the London based operator of brands Tuttons, Dirty Martini, Fire & Stone and Bittersweet, has reported record December trading figures, with like-for-like sales at all three Dirty Martini sites up 24%. Across the whole group like-for-like sales were up 7.5%.

The group, whose Dirty Martini sites are located in Covent Garden, Mayfair and the City, additionally run Tuttons in Covent Garden, Bitter Sweet in Soho, and two Fire & Stone pizza restaurants in Covent Garden and Westfield.

Since also experiencing a significant rise in pre-booked business increasing 29% on the previous year, comprising 63% of sales in the bars across the Christmas period, the company has now said it will add four new sites, thought to be Dirty Martini’s to its portfolio in 2014.

Chief executive Scott Matthews said that negotiations are currently already underway on two new Dirty Martini sites which are scheduled to open in the first half of 2014.

The third and most recently opened Dirty Martini site, in Bishopsgate, traded 41% up on budget in December.
