Mondrian London reveals American-inspired events for July 4th

Mondrian London has announced a programme of American-inspired events throughout the hotel to celebrate July 4th this summer and honour the hotel’s heritage.

The hotel’s restaurant Sea Containers, will draw on its American legacy to create a special 4th July menu, comprising classic American dishes including, ‘Maryland Crab Cakes’, ‘All American Barbecue Ribs’ and for dessert, ‘Strawberries and Cream Donut’. Sitting alongside the menu will be a special Woodford Reserve cocktail and boozy hard shake.

The menu will be available to enjoy from 4th – 8th July, alongside the restaurants a la carte menu. Should London be graced with sunshine, guests will also be able to enjoy the American menu on the recently opened Midsummer Terrace, which is located directly on the Thames River path.

For those looking for a taste of home, innovative LA bar The Walker Inn will be popping up in the award-winning Dandelyan as part of their ongoing World Botany Series. The bar teams will join forces to create an exclusive menu featuring five cocktails, which will combine both bar styles. The menu will run from 2nd July – 4th July in Dandelyan in partnership with Jack Daniel’s family of brands.

The celebrations come to life upstairs on Tuesday 4th July at Rumpus Room, the hotel’s rooftop bar located on twelfth floor of Mondrian London with panoramic views across the River Thames. Rumpus Room will host an all-American party in association with bourbon whisky, Maker’s Mark.

A special American-themed food and drinks menu will be available throughout the evening, featuring a selection of retro-themed cocktails from Maker’s Mark and Jim Beam. To entertain guests, a live band will perform a variety of cult classics and current American tunes, followed by a DJ.

Alongside the music, a beer pong tournament will be taking place, giving guests the chance to battle it out with friends to be crowned champion. The room will be adorned with American flags and red & white balloons, the finishing touch, for an unforgettable 4th July celebration.
