Cosmo Group has announced that its new 15,000sq ft restaurant in Derby will become its flagship site and it will now commence plans to open five more restaurants.
Cosmo, who currently now operate 14 sites are to open in the following cities and all will be the same design as the 330-seater Derby site: Edinburgh, Preston, Nottingham, Sheffield and Leeds.
The concept of Como’s is that diners pay one price for the eat-all-you-like buffet, which costs £7.50 at lunchtime and £12.99 at night.
The new flagship Derby site is Cosmo’s first restaurant in the East Midlands and offers diners 180 dishes drawn from global cuisines including Indian, Oriental, Brazilian, Japanese and European.
Cosmo said the new design was inspired by Far Eastern five star hotels and Michelin-starred UK restaurants, reflected in expensive stonework and marble fittings, as the company tries to move from a traditional buffet restaurant to a 'global banqueting experience' specialising in pan Asian cuisine.
