Conrad London St James launches Royal Afternoon Tea


To honour The Royal Wedding and a summer of regal celebrations, Emmeline’s Lounge at Conrad London St James is launching a Royal Afternoon Tea created by Executive Pastry Chef Diana Sedlakova.

Available from 14 May to 31 August, the Royal Afternoon Tea features quintessentially British sandwiches including Cucumber, cream cheese and chive on black rye bread; Hereford roast beef, creamed horseradish and watercress on pain de mie and Severn & Wye oak-smoked salmon and lemon dill cre`me frai^che on wholemeal.

To follow, Diana’s exquisite cakes and pastries are the jewels in the crown. A Hazelnut and banana veil sits elegantly alongside Diamond rings flavoured with tonka bean and strawberry and a delightful Lemon and blueberry Battenberg. Guests will also be presented with a Lemon and elderflower lollipop in the style of a wedding favour and inspired by the flavours of Harry and Meghan’s wedding cake.

Finally, no afternoon tea would be complete without fresh scones, clotted cream, strawberry jam and, in this case, a zesty lemon curd.

The Royal Afternoon Tea will be available from 14 May to 31 August, priced from £35pp.

In the same spirit of regal celebration, Conrad London St James is also offering the Propose like a Prince engagement package to entice lovers to follow Prince Harry’s lead. The package includes a luxurious 2-night stay, Royal Afternoon Tea and horse-drawn carriage tour. Furthermore, two Royal Wedding cocktails will be available from the Blue Boar Bar this May, allowing guests to toast the happy couple.
