Reddington Pub Company relaunches two Nottingham venues

Reddington Pub Company is poised to transform Nottingham's dining scene with the highly anticipated reopening of two popular venues.

With a combined history of over a century, these establishments have been long-standing staples in the Gunthorpe community.

Located along the banks of the River Trent, The Anchor is a family-friendly destination offering pub classics with a modern twist, complemented by a cosy café and a charming courtyard.

Just next door, the adults-only Tom Browns offers a premium dining experience, accompanied by live music and entertainment.

Reddington Pub Company has invested over £2 million to transform both beloved establishments into sought-after destinations for both locals and visitors.

The revitalisation project has generated 100 new jobs in the local area, highlighting Reddington Pub Company’s dedication to supporting Nottinghamshire’s vibrant hospitality industry.

After 16 years of dormancy, The Anchor has been revived into a lively, family-friendly hub, offering a pub, café, and courtyard, all with a cosy yet stylish atmosphere.

The menu, crafted by Michelin Star Bib Gourmand chef Andy Goodbourn, is renowned for his unique take on pub classics with a modern twist. Highlights include Nottinghamshire Pork Belly with wild garlic and chicken cream, as well as Cromer Crab and Avocado Salad with beef dripping croutons.

The Anchor also features a café offering brunch and coffee, perfect for enjoying on-site or taking away while exploring the local area. Additionally, The Anchor Courtyard serves as a standout event space, ideal for birthdays, weddings, or corporate gatherings.

Children will have the chance to enjoy The Anchor Express – the pub’s unique 18-seater model train. Running on the hour, this free attraction offers a fun ride through the scenic views of Gunthorpe, delighting guests of all ages.

The Anchor also boasts four luxurious ensuite guest rooms, perfect for an overnight stay or a cosy retreat for a long weekend in the countryside.

Meanwhile, Tom Browns has been reimagined as a high-end dining destination, serving bold flavors alongside live entertainment and music for a truly vibrant experience.

Award-winning head chef Jack Pearce has crafted a new steak and seafood menu, featuring standout dishes such as the 21oz Dry Aged Côte De Boeuf and Sole Meunière, served in a rich brown butter and caper sauce.

Sean Reddington, founder of the Reddington Pub Company, said: “The reopening of The Anchor and Tom Browns isn’t just about opening doors, but bringing a new level of culinary excellence to Gunthorpe and creating unforgettable experiences for both locals and visitors from across the country.

“Reddington Pub Company is committed to bringing the best in dining to The Midlands, and we’re thrilled to open these two new venues, alongside our already popular and award-winning pubs The Old Vol and The Reindeer.”

Tom Browns also offers a lineup of live performances throughout May, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

Later in the month, on 24 May, Tom Browns will welcome the renowned act Boyzlife for a special performance.

Additionally, on Saturday 26 July, Tom Browns will host a bottomless brunch event featuring disco, Motown, and soul singer Mollie Laine.
